Tibetan Healing is said to be over 1100 years old and is considered to be a science of healing that originates from Central Asia and is based on Buddhist beliefs. Although it originates in Asia it is not only composed of Asian practices but includes Indian, Chinese and Greek traditions also. At present these healing methods are used in North America, Mongolia, Nepal, Europe and Bhutan. This method of healing is geared towards making physical and mental health better by natural means. This method of healing is ideal for persons who are concerned with what they put into their bodies and only want the best natural and organic medications, and for those who are trying to live a healthy and synthetic drug free life. There are some ailments that can be essentially cured without ingesting any medicine at all; these methods include massaging among others. With all the drug recalls we have seen over the year,. it is wise to chose methods that do not include taking harmful drugs.

In Tibetan Healing it is believed that illness happens when the balance and flow of energy are not equal. It is believed that the body will heal itself when it is assisted in getting energy balance and that the person with the illness is responsible for healing themselves as the doctor guides and instructs them. Those that practice this kind of healing consider the doctor or physician to be the person who practices medicine to encourage first-rate wellbeing. The assessment of the energy system is done by the doctor, taking a person’s pulse on each wrist, questioning the patient and examining the urine by simply looking at it. An example of a treatment method for a client with chronic pain is adding heat to certain areas of the body, this is called Moxibustion. What is heated is a herb called mugwort and it is not placed directly on the skin but close enough for the heat to be felt. This is one example of a treatment method of this kind of Healing. The techniques used are vast however, and are not only limited to those mentioned in this article. The medicines used are usually plant and mineral based and are of a wide variety. There are few instances where the medicines used are made from animals or any animal material or byproduct.

So basically Tibetan Healing is a method of curing and preventing illnesses which allow clients the opportunity not to take potentially harmful synthetic medications. This method of healing is a trusted method as it has been around for quite a long while, over 1100 years. There are a lot of types of healing methods used in this kind of healing and not all of them exclude taking some medicine. However, the medicines used are mostly made from plants and minerals and very seldom made from animals. This type of healing is ideal for all, and most especially for those who are concerned with what they put into their bodies.
